This article examines the linguocultural features of wedding congratulations
and wishes in English, attending to socio-cultural, religious, and communicative traditions. It investigates lexical, stylistic, pragmatic, and symbolic components that appear in wedding speeches, greeting cards, and informal discourse. By comparing English practices with those of collectivist cultures, the study highlights tendencies toward individualism, personalization, metaphorical expression, religious nuance, and distinct discursive formats. The analysis demonstrates that congratulatory language reflects cultural values, social roles, and identity; these findings are relevant to linguocultural studies, translation, intercultural communication, and discourse analysis.
