The translation of international economic documents such as contracts, agreements, and financial statements presents a unique set of challenges. These documents require precision, accuracy, and a deep understanding of both the source and target languages' legal and economic terminology. This paper explores the translation process of such documents between English and Uzbek, highlighting the importance of linguistic and cultural adaptation, as well as the legal implications of the translation. The study examines how translators address issues such as legal equivalence, the treatment of specialized financial terms, and the adaptation
of culturally specific references. Strategies for overcoming the challenges of maintaining the original meaning while ensuring the target audience's understanding are also discussed. By analyzing various examples of legal and financial document translations, this paper underscores the significance of the translator's role in ensuring clarity, accuracy, and cultural relevance in the translation of international economic texts.
