professional translation, as it requires high accuracy, in-depth medical knowledge, and awareness of cultural differences. This article examines the main challenges faced by translators when working with medical terms. Particular attention is given to linguistic and structural issues, the absence of direct equivalents, difficulties in translating abbreviations and eponyms, and the influence of cultural and systemic differences in healthcare. The study emphasizes that effective medical translation is impossible without mastery of specialized terminology, the use of reliable terminology databases, and collaboration with medical professionals. The article also highlights the importance of continuous professional development and training in medical discourse to ensure accuracy and consistency in translation.
